Tonight I attended the memorial service for Patricia Holt Lecy, the much-loved sister of a dear family friend. Though I never knew Patricia, it was clear she left her imprint on so many people through her zest for life and dedication to her work. In memory and celebration of her journey, Patricia’s husband bought a flower for each person who attended the service. I was so touched to receive one.Look at this breath-taking rose, with it’s intricate layers and shades of pink and yellow! It sits on my kitchen window sill, reminding me how precious and delicate this life truly is.
