Every Friday, the Little Bliss List provides a chance for us to celebrate the little things that brought us hope and happiness this week. I do believe when we focus on the sweet stuff of life, the sweet stuff multiplies. And by sharing those small gifts in our lives, we help others notice the gifts in theirs.
Well, it sure wasn’t hard to find bliss this week, since we had a mini vacation at the lake! But that’s not the only spot where joy found me. Check it out….
1) One of my favorite moments up north was when I was swimming with my boys. Brad and my brother Kai played water frisbee and we laughed soooo hard at Kai’s diving catches {lots of cringe-worthy belly-flops and funny faces for his giggling nephews!}.
2) I dozed off in a hammock, mere feet from the water’s edge, surrounded by giant trees and blue sky. My kind of power nap.
3) I spoke to the eWomen Network’s Minneapolis chapter about purposeful blogging and was so touched by the stories and gratitude many of the attendees shared with me afterwards. Great women, heartfelt connections. {Thanks, Allyssa Granland, for the pic!}
4) Tru ate watermelon!!!!! Sensory issues have kept our little guy from eating any produce other than an occasional banana. He literally gags on fruit – including those teeny-tiny chunks in a cup of yogurt. But, by some miracle, he actually TRIED and continued to EAT the watermelon on his plate this week. Brad and I looked at each other in shock. When I asked Tru if he wanted more and he said YES {!!!}, we all gave high fives around the table!
5) I’m off to Chicago today to be part of a cool program {details to come} and to attend this blogging conference. I’m pretty sure I have the best. life. ever.
Oh! You, too?
Share why! I’d love to know about the bliss in your life lately. Share in the comment section or via your own blog – and please visit others who post their bliss here {just click on their photos below}! You can participate in the link party below through Sunday at midnight central.

This week I have been thankful for…
An unexpected walk along the river last night.
My daughter’s mood lifting after a disappointment.
Starting a good book!
Love those little bits of bliss. Thanks for sharing, Colleen!
Happy Friday!! Big breakthrough at work this week and proof that patience and perseverance do pay off. Nice work/life balance this week and looking forward to a long bike ride this weekend which is one of my current favorite activities. Love being outside and love the exercise. Think good thoughts.

Thanks Liv! Grateful to you for sharing with us!
gotta get back to the bliss list! i fell off the wagon!
Right on. The bliss list needs you, girl.
You have so many wonderful moments this week. My favorite is the hammock, I have to say, since I’m feeling a bit in need of a good nap and fresh air.
Yay on the Watermelon, I worked with a lady who worked as a feeding therapist. I know it can be hard. Baby steps
Great blog BTW
In a roundabout way, I ended up on your blog, intrigued by the idea of a Bliss List. Turns out it is similar to the Gratitude, Blessings and Thanks I do on my own blog every Sunday. I love that you made a badge and post a link list to get others involved. I may have to do that for my thing as well. Thanks for the inspiration!
the watermelon eating makes my heart sing out loud
….I KNOW what an awesome feeling that is!!!
Go you and go Tru!
(so beautiful, your awareness for your sweet boy)
And that nap sounds heavenly.

Watermelon is a wonderful thing. How super that Tru enjoyed it.
The Chicago event sounds really great. I bet it went fantastically! Now I want a great blogger event here in the Twin Cities and you can be the keynote speaker!
