Youth Gone Wild {The Little Bliss List}

Every Friday, the Little Bliss List provides a chance for us to celebrate the little things that brought us hope and happiness this week. I do believe when we focus on the sweet stuff of life, the sweet stuff multiplies. And by sharing those small gifts in our lives, we help others notice the gifts in theirs.

Wowza. What the heck happened to May? It flew by so fast that I’d remember almost nothing if it weren’t for these weekly lists! I’m so thankful to have an easy way to look back and be reminded of the most blissful moments I experienced in the previous month. Have you tried it out yet? Here’s what gave me that deep sense of joy over the past few days…

1) Our Memorial Day weekend was so fabulous for our family; equal parts productive, relaxing and fun. I mean, I cleaned my fridge AND I rode roller coasters in the same day. Awesome.

2)  We took Tru to his first major league baseball game and he did fantastic! Plus, Minnesota Twins star Joe Mauer threw a ball up to Ryder – pointed to him, waited for him to get ready with his glove, then tossed it to him! Amazing.

3) A fun announcement this week: I’m a new regular contributor to the web site Your HeART Makes a Difference. I’m honored to join the tribe of writers there and love Louise Gale’s mission.

4) We went to a cookout with my lifelong friend Tracy and her family…and just before we left, her sister-in-law unearthed a VHS video of the two of us rocking out to Skid Row’s Youth Gone Wild in 1989 – with a choreographed dance, people. OMG. It was so ridiculous…and yet we looked so deliriously happy, that we all just had to watch it twice. I haven’t laughed that hard in a while!

5) I squeezed in some dudio time to work on a painting that’s been on my mind for weeks. It is so satisfying to create something that’s been dancing around inside my heart and head and then birth it into the world the way I’d envisioned it!

So, what’s been rocking your world lately, friends? Feel free to share your own little bliss list in the comment section or via your own blog – and please visit others who post their bliss here {just click on their photos below}! You can participate in the link party below through Sunday at midnight central.
