Happy Friday, dear hearts! I was so excited to see how many of you participated in the link party for The Little Bliss List last week – either by commenting with your favorite joys of the week or by linking up your own blogs. Cool to see so much gratitude floating about out there!
The Little Bliss List is a chance for us to celebrate the little things that brought us hope and happiness this week. I do believe when we focus on the sweet stuff of life, the sweet stuff multiplies. And by sharing those small gifts in our lives, we help others notice the gifts in theirs.
So, here’s my Little Bliss List for the week…
1) I felt so grateful as I sat at the car dealership, waiting for someone to come tell me my oil change and tire rotation was done. Grateful to have a vehicle and to be able to afford keeping it in good shape.
2) We celebrated Ryder’s ninth birthday this week – and our ninth anniversary as parents. What a wild ride it’s been! I love that kid like crazy and my heart went pitter-patter when he told us the thing he was looking forward to most was hearing his principal announce his name over the loudspeaker! So sweet.
<—– 3) I felt so lucky that our family had the chance to meet some Minnesota Twins at a special event {Ryder wore his Denard Span jersey…and got to meet Denard Span!}
4) Two gorgeous deer showed up in our back yard; the first time I’ve ever seen any in over six years of living in this house. It was a magical moment, for sure.
5) I totally love discovering new and innovative tools or resources {yay, entrepreneurs!!}, so I’m thrilled to be experimenting with the beta edition of the Linky Followers tool, which will come in handy for bloggers as Google Friend Connect disappears. See that icon ————> in the sidebar? Click it to follow this blog and use the tool to follow all of your faves!
6) I’m breathing in the book Soul Currency by Ernest Chu. It sat on my shelf for ages, but called out to me this week – perfect timing, wonderful message.
You’re next! I’d love to see your Little Bliss List either in the comments or in the link-up below. Ready? Set? Joy!!
{Note: you can link up your blog here through Sunday at 11:59pm central}

those are wonderful moments of bliss.
We sure can learn alot from kids who seem to know that it’s not the big things, but the little things that matter … like having your name called on a loud speaker.
I’m loving thinking about things that bring bliss to my week. I’m loving reading your lists, Liv, and sharing the happy moments of your week.
Thanks so much, Emma! I’m so glad you’re on board!
Awesome list! Anytime you can make your family smile brings bliss…love
. I have an empty house for a little bit & a yoga class this morning….serious bliss
:). Love your blog!
thanks to barb for sharing this site with me. this is such a great way to remember the little things that make us happy even if it’s just for a moment.

Yay! Happy to have you!
Loving your Bliss List! I am off to write mine:)
you have no idea (or do you, perhaps!) how much i need a little bliss list accountability right now. i’m going to count my little blessings right now and i will be back.
I love this Bliss List idea! So many things to be grateful for. I linked above to one of my moments of bliss this week.

Loving your bliss list! And I love books with perfect timing! Xo
When I read what you wrote about your son being excited to hear his name over the loudspeaker at school I smiled. That will definitely be a highlight for my boy this year too hee hee : ) I love how they appreciate these simple things. Thanks again for prompting me to write in my blog again this week – I hadn’t written all week due to it being a stressful time in my life, but remembering you gave me that little pick-me-up to post something. XOXO
Oh, I know – isn’t that sweet!? So glad you allowed a little bliss into your life…and your blog!
I have no blog, but I do have moments of bliss and gratitude just about every hour of the day. Mine for this week:
1. I never cease to be grateful that in my north side Chicago neighborhood I can walk to Lake Michigan, the L, the public library, the best coffee shop in Chicago, several grocery stores, fantastic ethnic restaurants, and even an old-fashioned frozen custard parlor.
2. Senior citizens get 50% off guitar lessons at the Old Town School of Folk Music. Whoopee! Who would have thought!
3. Charlotte Bronte’s Villette is a free Kindle book.
4. My spouse, daughter and I will hear Egyptian activist Wael Ghonim speak tomorrow at the Art Institute.
5. Our granddaughter not only loves to draw and paint, she has studied Piet Mondrian and Joan Miro in kindergarten so far this year.
What a fabulous list, Carol! I love that you’re aware of little bits of bliss every hour of the day!
It has been a week of ups and downs. One of the highlights was attending my study club meeting and having the honor and pleasure of hearing Louise Griffith speak on a wonderful topic “Success Is a Conscious Choice”. Very inspiring message and a nice chance to connect with my peers. Make it a great weekend and a blissful one!!! Think good thoughts……..
Oh, yes – so wonderful to be part of a like-minded, uplifting group, isn’t it? So glad you have that in your life!
Thanks for the wonderful link-up! I’ve been doing a “Fab 5 Friday” post for a long time…my chance to step back and count the top few things that made my week “fabulous”…no matter the inevitable “crazy”.
Happy birthday to your little man! And I totally understand the feeling of gratefulness of having a car / being able to buy groceries / feeling the warm air coming from the register. It’s a blessing we’re able to step back and appreciate such things from time to time.
Thanks for the Bliss List! I needed to refocus on all that I have to be grateful for this week!
Can’t wait to read the other lists, too!
I love your bliss list idea! I came via Phoenix Peacock but also read about it elsewhere (forgot where though). Thanks for hosting such a positive idea!
I’ve never thought of our oldest’s birthday
as our anniversary of being parents….what
a fantastic perspective!
love it!
and love your heart
that savors such bliss:)
