Do-Be-Do-Be-Do: I Need Your Help! {07.27.11}

I am growing something awesome over here. And I need your help.
I’m weeding through the stuff I no longer want/need/love and planting seeds for a garden so great I can barely contain myself. I’m building a new web site. Evolving my business. Taking some giant leaps into my very own light. It feels exciting and scary and big.
For the past couple of years, my work has felt like an unfinished collage. Art and writing and speaking and radio hosting and all the rest, separate but related. All joy-inducing for me, but awkwardly compartmentalized.
Lately, I’ve spent a lot of time envisioning how it might all come together and what pieces of the puzzle energize me most. The art, for sure. The blog, of course.
But I also love, love, love advising, empowering and encouraging women who feel ready to ignite the creative spark within, ready to trust their intuition and invest in their happiness, ready to artfully create a dream-come-true life. I’ve done this informally for several years, speaking to women’s groups here and there, answering email after email from women in transition, serving as chief cheerleader for friends and acquaintances who ask for advice about their blogs, their art, their passions, their dreams. And I am honored by every single one of those requests for insight.
As I’ve been envisioning this ideal future for myself and my business, I realize I need to do more of this in a more formal way. For myself {because I love it} and for others {because they need it}. I know it’s part of my purpose here, to inspire leaps of faith in droves. To ruffle your feathers just enough that you feel inspired to spread your wings.
So, here’s where I need your help.
Your brainpower.
Your mojo.
Your heart-light.
Your intuition.
See, everything I just wrote feels soooooo right. And yet it’s far too wordy for the header of a web site or the front of a business card. I think I’m too close, too invested in all of it to whittle it down into a sentence.
And I trust you, dear readers. So, my question for you is this: what the heck do I do?
Really. I’m serious. How would you describe what I do? I’m not a life coach. I’m not a counselor. I’m not one thing. So, I’ve been trying to come up with a made-up title for myself. Dream Catcher? Change Agent? Crazy Lady?
How would you describe me to a friend – in a sentence or less? I’ll take whatever you’ve got. Leave me a comment with whatever rushes into your mind. {And if you love something in the comments that someone else writes, let me know that, too!}
I know your random thoughts will be incredibly valuable because you’re the folks who know and get what I do best. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart!
