A Heaping Helping of Love and Chocolate {03.14.11}

I am so full!
My weekend was full of good times and good food,
filling my heart, my soul and my belly.
On Saturday, my dear friend Carla invited me over for a fabulous house party
where I not only got to catch up with some old friends and colleagues,
but had a chance to display and sell my art alongside two other great entrepreneurs:
Jen with Stella & Dot and Lynne with Uffdaa Wear yoga gear.
So fun!
Carla and her hubby, Jason, pulled out all the stops for their guests.
We were treated to champagne, mimosas, lemon drop martinis,
sushi, deviled eggs, and brownie bites.
They made everyone feel pampered and special
(and probably a little drunk)!
Yesterday, we were treated to a family brunch at my parents’ house.
My dad whipped up some sausage links and blue corn pancakes
(made with special Santa Fe Culinaria pancake mix he had shipped to Minnesota).
Meanwhile, my mom prepared a huge (yummy) dish of scrambled eggs,
berry cups topped with fruit dip,
and beautiful asparagus spears.
I’m no cook, but I know how much time and energy it takes
to put something extra special on the table,
made and served with love.
This weekend, my cup runneth over…and my plate, too.
So, my darlings, what filled you up this weekend?
