12.15.10: Happy HeART Giveaway – I Wonder As I Wander…

We can probably all relate to this Wanderer painting by Jan Avellana – especially this time of year, when we all do a lot of wandering…through shopping malls, in grocery stores, and as we reflect on our past and future. There’s a wanderer in all of us.
In addition to entering this week’s Happy HeART Giveaway to win an 8×10 high-quality print of this piece, I hope you’ll wander over to Jan’s beautiful Etsy shop: Hazelnut: Cottage. You’ll find lovely prints, original mixed media art and gorgeous jewelry there (I’m eagerly waiting for a special delivery from Hazelnut Cottage myself!)! You can also follow Jan’s life as an artsy mama in Hawaii on her beautiful blog.
In the Etsy shop listing for her Wanderer print, Jan shares this stirring poem by Antonio Muchado, which inspires our giveaway question this week:
“wanderer, your footsteps are the road,
and nothing more; wanderer,
there is no road,
the road is made by walking.
by walking one makes the road,
and upon glancing behind
one sees the path
that never will be trod again.
wanderer, there is no road—
only wakes upon the sea.”
When you let your mind wander, where does it take you?
Share your favorite daydream or happy place with me!
Be sure to enter by midnight CST on Friday (12/17). One winner will be chosen at random. Once you’ve answered the question above, feel free to boost your chances with the bonus opportunities below!
